Mechanism of Action (MOA)

Algae Calcium supplies elemental calcium necessary for bone and teeth mineralization. Calcium plays a vital role in neuromuscular transmission, muscle contraction, blood coagulation, and various enzymatic processes. Being plant-derived, algae calcium naturally contains trace minerals that may support calcium utilization in bone metabolism.

Pharmacokinetics
  • Absorption: Absorbed from the small intestine; absorption is dose-dependent and enhanced by vitamin D
  • Distribution: Circulates in plasma and is primarily deposited in bones and teeth
  • Metabolism: Not metabolized
  • Excretion: Eliminated mainly through urine and feces
Pregnancy Category & Lactation
  • Pregnancy: Safe when used within recommended doses to meet increased calcium needs
  • Lactation: Compatible with breastfeeding and supports maternal calcium balance
