Allantoin + Allium Cepa is a topical combination used for the treatment and prevention of various types of scars. It is indicated for:

• Hypertrophic scars and keloids (thick, raised scars caused by excessive collagen formation)
• Post-surgical scars (e.g., after cesarean section, orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery)
• Post-burn scars
• Acne scars
• Stretch marks (striae distensae) from pregnancy, weight gain, or growth spurts
• Skin damage due to trauma or injury

This combination helps reduce scar height, redness, stiffness, and discoloration, and improves skin texture and elasticity over time.

Allantoin + Allium Cepa is applied topically to intact skin. Use should begin after complete wound healing (once the skin is closed and dry).

• Apply a thin layer over the affected area and massage gently until fully absorbed.
• Use 2 to 3 times daily, consistently, for at least 8 weeks. Older or more severe scars may require up to 6 months of treatment.
• Safe for use in adults, elderly, and children above 2 years, under supervision.

Do not apply on open wounds, broken skin, mucous membranes, or infected areas. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth.

This combination works by combining the effects of two different active components:

• Allantoin is a keratolytic and skin protectant. It promotes hydration, soothing, and cellular regeneration. It increases water content in the extracellular matrix and softens keratin, helping smooth and repair scar tissue.
• Allium Cepa extract (derived from onion) contains quercetin, sulfur compounds, and flavonoids with anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-proliferative properties. It reduces fibroblast proliferation and collagen synthesis—key mechanisms involved in hypertrophic scar and keloid formation.

Together, they reduce scar thickness, redness, and discomfort, improve cosmetic appearance, and support the natural healing process.

Being a topical agent, systemic absorption is minimal.

• Absorption: Primarily local to the area of application
• Distribution: Localized in epidermal and dermal layers
• Metabolism: Negligible systemic metabolism
• Excretion: Eliminated through natural skin turnover; not excreted via kidneys or liver in measurable amounts

Systemic exposure is extremely low, making it safe for prolonged use in most populations.

• Pregnancy: Topical use is considered low-risk, as systemic absorption is minimal. However, safety has not been conclusively established in pregnant women. Use only if clearly needed and under medical supervision.
• Lactation: Safe when applied away from the breast area. Avoid application on or near nipples to prevent accidental ingestion by nursing infants.

Do not use Allantoin + Allium Cepa in the following cases:

• Known hypersensitivity to Allantoin, Allium Cepa, or any ingredients in the formulation
• Application on open wounds, bleeding areas, or infected skin
• Use on mucosal surfaces such as eyes, mouth, genitals, or inside the nose

• For external use only
• Discontinue use if skin irritation, redness, itching, or rash develops
• Do not use on deep or infected wounds without medical advice
• Avoid exposure to sunlight on the treated area unless using sun protection, as scar tissue is more sensitive to UV damage
• Keep away from children's reach
• Do not use with strong exfoliants or other irritating topical agents unless prescribed

Allantoin + Allium Cepa is generally well tolerated. However, some users may experience:

Common (mild and temporary):

• Redness
• Dryness
• Itching or stinging
• Mild burning sensation

Rare (serious):

• Allergic contact dermatitis
• Skin rash or swelling
• Blistering (in case of hypersensitivity)

In case of any serious reaction, discontinue the product and consult a healthcare provider.
