Mechanism of Action (MOA)

MoniMix Plus delivers essential vitamins and minerals that replenish deficient micronutrients and support physiological functions. Iron (ferrous fumarate) increases hemoglobin synthesis and improves oxygen transport, correcting anemia. Vitamins A, C, D, and E act as antioxidants and support immune function. B-complex vitamins and folic acid aid in energy metabolism and red blood cell production. Trace minerals such as zinc, copper, selenium, and iodine serve as cofactors for enzymes involved in growth, thyroid function, and immune responses, collectively improving hematologic health, cognitive development, and overall nutritional status.

Pharmacokinetics
  • Absorption: Iron is absorbed mainly in the duodenum and upper jejunum; vitamin C in the formulation enhances iron absorption. Fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E) are absorbed via the lymphatic system.
  • Distribution: Micronutrients circulate in plasma and distribute to tissues; iron binds to transferrin; fat-soluble vitamins are stored in liver and adipose tissue.
  • Metabolism: Vitamins undergo hepatic metabolism; trace minerals participate in enzymatic functions.
  • Excretion: Excess water-soluble vitamins are eliminated via urine; fat-soluble vitamins stored; minerals eliminated mostly through urine and feces.
Pregnancy Category & Lactation
  • Pregnancy: Not specifically indicated for use during pregnancy; no sufficient safety data. Micronutrients are generally essential, but use should follow pregnancy-specific formulations.
  • Lactation: Safety in breastfeeding women has not been established; caution advised. Components are typically safe in dietary amounts but product use should be supervised.
  • Data on pregnancy and lactation are limited; caution recommended.
Therapeutic Class
  • Primary class: Multivitamin and Mineral Supplement
  • Subclass: Pediatric Micronutrient Supplement
